Pungro Sub-Division Village Guards Sports Meet 2019
Pungro, October 24 (MExN): The 5th edition of Pungro Sub-Division Village Guards Sports Meet 2019 (PSDVGSM) kicked off on October 23 in Pungro Town with. S Kiusumew, President, Public Forum Pungro Sub-Division as special guest.
A press release from PSDVGSM President, Havildar Major M Lasetsu informed that the special guest urged the 631 VG personals to uphold their duty as the top most priority. He also lauded the VG personals of their dedication and sincerity in their duties despite the bare minimum honorarium the guards were drawing.
Kiusu Tikhir, Subedar Major, VG Kiphire also appreciated the organizers of the sports meet and encouraged them to continue the trend.
T Luthong, Head DB Pungro elaborated that the sports meet conducted is an exercise of their duty wherein they are undergoing physical training themselves.
The inaugural programme was chaired by Hav. Major Tsangking, while Lohomong T Whourr, Secretary PTBC said the invocation, the release said.
Apart from welcome speech by PSDVGSM President, a special song was presented by Tsuyamew K. It ended with vote of thanksby HavMajor M Kiukhenthong, Post Commander VG Pungro HQ. The declaration of the sports meet was done by the special guest after which Hav. Major. Lolemthong, Games & Sports Secy, PSDVGSM conducted the oath taking of the participants.
