DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 10 (MExN): Meghalaya today established a 238-run lead against Nagaland on the Day-II of Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at the Nagaland Cricket Association Stadium, Sovima.
However, the match was evenly poised as the host Nagaland put-up a strong blowing performance in the second innings and the visitors were reeling at 89/9 in their second innings at stumps of Day-II.
Earlier, resuming their first innings total of 265, Meghalaya were bowled out 285 in 96.5 overs in the morning session on Day -II.
However, a tight bowling ensured that Nagaland were bowled out with just 136 runs on the board in 45.1 overs.
At stump on Day II, Meghalaya were reeling at 89/9 in 33 overs. It remains to be seen whether Nagaland could manage to restrict the lead below 250 runs and improved their batting performance in their second innings to win the match.
The match will resume on Wednesday.
