Reaffirmation and solidarity: NPMHR holds general assembly

Kohima, March 14 (MExN): The General Assembly of the Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) was held today in Kohima. The NPMHR acknowledged all individuals and organizations in the Indian sub continent and across the globe who have been “standing by us through our sufferings and are still commitedly journeying with us in our quest for our rightful destination as dignified people.”

“We are truly strengthened in our resolve to continue in our struggle to arrive at our rightful place and to partner with struggling and suffering people of the world in their search for just future,” said the organization. While “our story has not been well received or understood at certain point of time,” NPMHR held that “our story still goes on and our suffering continues without any respite, inspite of cease fire agreements and political negotiations.”
