Conduct of socio-economic & caste census postponed
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The conduct of socio-economic and caste census (SECC) 2011 in the state has been postponed till further orders. A release received here regretted for the inconvenience caused due to unavoidable circumstances. The actual schedule date for conduct of socio-economic & caste census proposed to be conducted from January 15 to February 2012 shall, however, be notified in due course of time in consultation and approval of Ministry of Rural Development, the release added.
Tokhu Festival on Nov 7
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): The Lotha Community Purana Bazar area is celebrating Tokhu Festival on November 7 at Kachari Community Sports Complex, Kushiabill with Thomas Ngullie, ex-minister as the chief guest. The Purana Bazar Lotha Union chairman KK Lotha in a press release informed that the highlights of the programme will be cultural show and modern Lotha song competition followed by Tokhu feast. The second session will be an entertainment by the Image Dimapur. All the community members are requested to come with traditional attires and be in the venue by 8:30 am.
Longleng DPDB meet on Nov 8
Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The Longleng deputy commissioner informed all DPDB members of Longleng district that the monthly DPDB meeting for the month of November will be held on November 8. The time and venue remain the same. All the members have been requested to be present as some important issues are going to be discussed. Absentees will be viewed seriously, a release received here said today.
NCSU general meeting on Nov 14
Dimapur, November 4 (MExN): All the members of Nagaland Contractors & Suppliers’ Union Nagaland are informed that there will be a general meeting on November 14 at 11:00 am in the conference hall. All concerned members are requested to attend the meeting without fail. District unit office bearers, executive members and advisors are also directed to compulsorily attend the meeting failing which the head office will take disciplinary action against the erring district unit. This was informed in a notification issued by NCSU Secretary Imsünok Jamir.
