SETAM & SASRD annual meet held

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The SETAM and SASRD annual meet was held on April 6 at SASRD campus. During the meet, an exhibition match including football and basketball and also an executive general meeting was conducted.  The meet was organised by the students’ body of both SETAM and SASRD. This was informed in a press release issued by SESC information secretary Niamul Alom.

Lost and found information

KOHIMA, April 12 (MExN):
A wallet containing smart card, ID card, ATM card and other important documents along with some cash has been lost on April 10, 2011 at around 8:30 from Kruoliezou Colony, Billy Graham Road, Kohima. In this regard, finders are kindly requested to return the documents by contacting phone number 9436062438.

Med camp benefit 89 children

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The Bridge of Hope (a child care project) organized its annual medical camp on April 9 at its project centre, Walford, Dimapur. Altogether, 89 children including community people were treated. Free medicines were also given to sick by Dr. Nzanthung Ngullie. The project staffs have thanked Dr. Nzanthung Ngullie and his wife Elizabeth for making the camp a grand success.

NIPReSA condemns April 8 incident

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
Nagaland Information & Public Relations Services Association (NIPReSA) has strongly condemned the attempted extortion and threatening of the DDO at the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare on April 8 at Kohima and has expressed resentment at the miscreants who had reportedly claimed themselves to be national workers and had harassed the officers. NIPReSA in a press note has stated that such threats and harassments are deterrent to peaceful coexistence and retards the delivery of public services and development. The association has appealed to all right thinking people to concertedly stand up against such uncivilized and unlawful behaviours in the interest of the society at large. Requesting the concerned authority to arrest the culprits at the earliest, the association has expressed solidarity with the H&FW department and has further said it will be extending support to the department in all their future course of action.

Mon DC informs

Dimapur, April 12 (DIPR):
The Deputy Commissioner  (SC) of Mon, in a press release has informed that the interview for the qualified candidate in the written examination for the post of primary teachers/ graduate teachers will be conducted on April from 9:00 am onwards at DC’s conference hall Mon. The district level selection board will conduct the interview. No separate calling letters for the interview will be issued. All short listed candidates are to bring along their original documents/certificates to the interview.

AR donates solar street lights, water tank

Dimapur, April 12 (MExN):
The 41 Assam Rifles donated eight Solar Street Lights to Phiro village, Wokha district, Nagaland on March 30. The project will facilitate electrification of streets in Phiro village. The project was handed over by Company Commander from Tseminyu Company occupied post to the Village Council, in a ceremony organized at Phiro village. The head of village council expressed its gratitude to Assam Rifles for this kind gesture. Also, a cemented water tank for storage of water and three subsidiary tanks for distribution of water were handed over to villagers of Phanjang village on March 30 by 32 Assam Rifles.  The water storage tank was handed over by Officiating Commandant 32 Assam Rifles. Jubilant villagers expressed their gratitude for the assistance provided by Assam Rifles in such a remote area and said that the project will be a great help in resolving the water crisis in the village.
