
Air India flight combined & rescheduled
DIMAPUR, JULY 19 (MExN): The Station Manager of Air India Ltd Dimapur has informed that due to operational reason ATR flight AI9702 for July 20 (DMU/CCU) has been combined with AI 709 and departure time is revised to 1255 HRS from Dimapur for Calcutta. All joining passengers of AI709 & AI9702 of July 20 (DMU/CCU) are requested to report for check -in at Dimapur Airport at 1100 HRS.
IGNOU informs
Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Post Matric Central Scholarship (PMCS) and Nagaland Merit Scholarship (NMS) forms for the session 2011-12 will be issued to eligible learners of IGNOU from July 20 onwards. In line with the decision of the Government of Nagaland to disburse the scholarship through the students bank account, all the eligible learners who will be applying for PMCS /MNS are asked to open their normal or ‘no frill’, ‘nil balance’ account in any of the nationalized bank and submit the filled in forms to the Regional Centre Kohima on or before September 20. Moreover, learners registered at IGNOU Study Centre- 2002, Dimapur Government College, Dimapur may collect the forms and submit the same at the Study Centre, informed Dr. T. Iralu, Regional Director of IGNOU.
Industrial village “action” against Ao khel GB
Dimapur, July 19 (MExN): Industrial village council today said to have taken a number of decision against “illegal activities” of one GB of Ao Khel of the village. The council accused one GB, Among Pongen, of indulging in “illegal activities” within the village.
The council said to have met on July 16.
A note from the council received here today said the GB ‘badly beat’ one Gwakenye Semp on July 13 and confined the person “in his private jail,” which the council called “attempted murder.” The council has demanded that the administration take action against the GB and revoke the appointment of Pongen as GB. The council said it has ‘expelled’ the said GB from his position as GB and from the council’s board.
Industrial village said the GB illegally changed the name of Ao khel into ‘Aokong colony’. Further, the council shall not allow the said GB and his family members to sell or mortgage to any person, society or bank the “the said area of village common land.”
The council also said that the GB claiming the land in the village with “jamabandi” is “totally baseless and so declared it null. The note was appended by chairman of the Industrial village, TL Angami and council secretary Keneingulie.
