KOHIMA, NOV 4 (MExN): The Cultureguard, Mezoma has acknowledged and put on record that the local communities and NGOs have greatly enriched not only those who are already involved in bio-conversation but the rest of the State as well, from the just-concluded workshop on Community and Bio-Diversity organized by the NEPED, Forest department and Kalpvriksh (Pune).
The Cultureguard through Rajuselie Lhousa, Chairman stated that not only those who were engaged in bio-diversity conservation like the Reserved Forest, Wildlife and Bird sanctuary entities were immensely enriched but also the whole State in general.
He expressed hope that the outcome of the workshop would bring about a revolution on the movement of bio-diversity conservation among the Naga communities.
“We rededicated ourselves to maintain environment-friendly and sustainable livelihood practices and conserve the limited natural resources” the Cultureguard stated adding that the ‘timely action’ taken by the organizers proved its active and dynamic leadership.
“The people of Nagaland have expectations that the Government shall continue to dedicate (itself) towards peoples’ welfare development, activities and programmes in the coming days” it said while expressing appreciation to the Forest Department, the NEPED and Kalpvriksh for the workshop.
The Cultureguard also acknowledged the ICIMOD (Katmandu) and the British High Commission for co-sponsoring and participating as resource persons throughout the workshop.
