Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Chizami inaugurated its Golden Jubilee Year with a prayer service on November 20.
Chizami, November 20 (MExN): Sacred Heart Higher Secondary School, Chizami one of the premier institutions in Phek district, inaugurated its Golden Jubilee Year with a prayer service on November 20.
In his address, the school's Principal, Fr. Vekupa Rhakho, said the celebratory year must be a time to “renew commitment to excellence, innovation and service.”
Established in 1976 under the leadership of Late Rev. Fr. Castelino SJ, it was one of the first private schools in the area. The institution was managed by the Jesuits of the Kohima Region until 1999, after which it was handed over to the Diocese of Kohima.
According to the school administration, it has produced numerous professionals, including educators, doctors, engineers, bureaucrats, and entrepreneurs.
The year-long celebrations will be based on the theme “Together Towards Excellence and Service” and will culminate on October 9, 2026.
