Winners of the debate at the inter-house English Literary competition held in Sainik School Punglkwa on November 10
Peren, November 10 (MExN): Sainik School Punglwa on November 8 organized an inter-house English Literary competition for the academic year 2025-26.
The event saw the participation from cadets across various houses and classes, showcasing their literary talents in three categories of Poetry Recitation, Declamation, and Debate.
In the poetry recitation category, Vilhousietuo Kense and Rao Rhakho from Dzukou House secured the first and second positions respectively.
In the declamation category, Pinseng Phunglo of Shilloi House and Joshua Benn Kichu of Pauna House bagged the first and second positions.
In the debate category, Jaswant Rao of Doyang House and Cdt Cidibe Peter Mbung who spoke in favour of the motion "AI is a boon to Human Society" were adjudged the best debaters, while Angela Rimi Pura of Japfu House, who opposed the motion, secured the second position.
In the over-all position, Shilloi House and Saramati House emerged winners in the Junior and Senior categories respectively.
Smita Misra, Principal, Sainik School Punglwa, congratulated the winners and distributed certificates, medals and trophies, commending the students' efforts in showcasing their literary prowess.
