Tuensang, April 9 (MExN): Sao Chang College, Tuensang, on Thursday concluded its 50th Annual Sports Meet at the Astro Turf Ground, marking the end of three days of sporting activities held under the theme “Beyond Victory, Towards Excellence”.
The meet, which began on April 7, witnessed participation from four houses—Red Hawks, Thunderbolts, Titans and Dominators—who displayed athleticism, discipline and team spirit throughout the event.
The inaugural programme was attended by Adjutant of 3rd NAP, Tuensang, I Bunglang Chang, NPS, as the guest of honour, who declared the meet open and encouraged students to strive for excellence with perseverance and sportsmanship.
A variety of outdoor track and field events as well as indoor games were conducted during the three-day meet, drawing enthusiastic participation from students and support from faculty members. The competitions were marked by high energy and healthy rivalry among the teams.
The closing ceremony highlighted the collective efforts and achievements of the participants, emphasising the importance of unity, resilience and fair play.
In the overall standings, Titans emerged as champions, followed by Thunderbolts in second place, Red Hawks in third, while Dominators finished fourth.
