Phek DC addressing Unity March at Phek town on November 15.
Phek, November 15 (MExN): The District Core Committee for Phek district organised Unity March (Padyatra) from Clock Tower to Town Hall in Phek town on November 15.
This is part of Sardar@150 Unity Campaign under Phek District to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, in line with a directive from the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports.
Capt. Yashdeep Sharma, Adjutant, 39 Assam Rifles, Phek graced the event as the special guest.
Phek deputy commissioner Rhosietho Nguori also addressed the gathering .
The programme also witnessed cultural performance from students of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Avasiya Vidyalaya Residential Girls Hostel, Phek
The programme was chaired by Imnasenla Walling, NCS, Extra Assistant Commissioner, Phek Hq.
The programme was also marked by presentation of Awards to the winners of the pre-event activities.
Meanwhile, the second Unity March will be held on November 19 from DC Office Phek to Public Ground, Phek Town from 8:00 AM onwards.
Government employees, colony and ward leaders and general public have been requested to join the same.
