KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 1 (MExN): Esa Warriors, Old Boys and Kohima Legends registered victories in separate fixtures of the Seniors Masters League 3 played on January 31 and February 1.
In the first match on January 31, Chumou won the toss and opted to field against Esa Warriors. Batting first, Esa Warriors posted a competitive 164 for 8 in 20 overs. Raza anchored the innings with 52 runs, while Rakesh scored 48 and Pankaj added 30 to keep the total competitive.
In reply, Chumou Veterans struggled to keep pace with the required run rate and were bowled out for 123 in 18.2 overs. Esa’s bowlers maintained consistent pressure throughout the innings. Raza, who also claimed three wickets, was named Man of the Match for his all-round performance.

In another match on January 31, Old Boys won the toss and chose to bat, putting up 174 for 4 in their 20 overs. Abhijit Saha led the batting with 70 runs, supported by Meren Jamir with 47, Anga Shuya with 20 and Suneper with 15.
Lhomithi SC mounted a strong chase, with the middle order keeping the contest alive. Wapang Zong scored 55, Hamrung Langthasa made 39, Tohoto Chisho contributed 38 and Hino Chishi added 17.
The match went down to the final over, with Lhomithi SC needing five runs off the last six balls. However, Old Boys pacer Suneper defended the total, restricting Lhomithi SC to 169 for 4 in 20 overs.
Abhijit Saha was named Man of the Match for his match-winning knock.

On February 1, Nzon CC won the toss and elected to bat against Kohima Legends, posting 125 for 8. Meshenti Apon top-scored with 38 runs, while Alo Kez contributed 30 and Samuel Shohe added 18.
Kohima Legends chased the target comfortably, reaching 128 for 2. Openers Thejaselhou and Viketho laid a strong foundation with scores of 54 and 50 respectively. Thejaselhou was awarded Man of the Match for his all-round contribution with both bat and ball.
