Sensitization workshop for MLA staff

Aizawl, November 28 (NNN) : Sensitization workshop on legislative assembly matters and proceedings was held in the Assembly Secretariat Conference Hall in Aizawl today for the staff of the Mizoram legislative assembly.
It was convened by chief minister Lal Thanhawla. All officers of the rank of undersecretary and above attended the workshop. In the programme Lal Thanhawla explained that the reason why it was organised and the said that he wanted the government officials to know the importance and works of various sub-committee under Assembly. He also told the government offices to be more careful preparing the bill to discuss at the house.
Mentionably, Lalsawta, Mizoram Parliamentary Affairs minister also highlighted the nature and works of Assembly. Opposition leader Dr.R. Lalthangliana also explained how the government takes steps after approved by the house. R.Selthuama, MLA also highlighted financial condition and its relating stories.
Further, Assembly Secretary Ngurthanzuala also said the duty of members and the powers of various House Committees. Vanlalnghenga, Assembly Additional Secretary also highlighted the nature of Assembly Committee. The function was presided over by R .Lalvena, Director, ATI. Mizoram chief secretary, Van Hela Pachuau addressed the officers on matters concerning Assembly Session and matters relating to assurance made by the Ministers.
