The reverend Dr. AK Lama, general secretary of the CBCNEI, Guwahati delivered the convocation address. The reverend in his address while challenging the students to face their life with courage and optimism thus encouraged them to be sincere and selfless in their endeavour. Sharing the testimony of Timothy from the gospel the reverend let known that Timothy was always faithful and stood committed to serve the Lord. “From today, you have graduated from the MRC, but have you graduated fully for Jesus Christ our Lord?” he dared. More than the degrees, he asserted that ‘how you live’ and ‘how the people speak about you’ is central. He challenged the students respond to the call to serve and enlarge the kingdom of the Lord.
‘The Student of the Year’ was awarded to Akhup Mangte from Manipur.
