Shillong, November 4 (NNN): Meghalaya chief minister Mukul Sangma exuded confidence that Meghalaya will take a lead in promoting North East region as an important tourist destination of the country. Mukul Sangma made his statement during the inaugural session of the three-day Shillong Autumn festival that comes with a theme “Experience the Northeast”.
Meghalaya chief minister who flagged off the cultural parade from fire brigade ground said, "Meghalaya will become the “number one” tourist destination in the country and the state will do its best to achieve this.
