Sovima Village Council imposes curfew after 10 pm

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 5 (MExN): The Sovima Village Council has imposed a curfew in the village vicinity after 10:00 PM from October 6, citing increasing incidents of theft of private and public properties. The curfew will remain in force “until further notice,” the council stated in a press release issued. The council apologised for the inconvenience the curfew may cause to villagers and visitors and urged citizens to report any suspicious activity to the council. The council also cautioned shops in the village against selling expired goods. “Any shop found selling expired commodities shall be penalised, and their trade licenses revoked,” it stated.
