DIMAPUR, JUNE 28 (MExN): The SQAY Martial Art Federation of India, recognised by the Ministry of Sports, Government of India, has reappointed Lepzungchiba Jamir as President and D. Puchochiyi Gabriel Khamo as Secretary of the SQAY Martial Art Association of Nagaland.
According to a release issued on Saturday, their new tenure will be effective from June 27, 2025, to June 27, 2026.
Jamir and Khamo were earlier appointed on July 27, 2024, for an eight-month term that concluded on March 27, 2025. During that period, the association recorded notable achievements, including two bronze medals at the 3rd SQAY Martial Art National Championship 2024–25 held in Maharashtra from November 18 to 20, 2024.The medals were won in the senior category by K. Pushen in the 62 kg division and Khuming in the 66 kg division.
The Federation said the reappointment reflects its confidence in the leadership of Jamir and Khamo and their continued commitment to promoting SQAY Martial Art in the state.
