The stage is all set for two day long 27th Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) Championship and the 1st Under 16 Naga Wrestling 2020, starting from March 10 at Kohima Local Ground
Everything is set for the mega event, said NWA president Neivikuolie Khatsu while briefing media persons here today.
Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio will grace the meet as the special guest at the inaugural function at 9:00 AM. MLA Kuzholiizo (Azo) Nienu will be the inaugural guest.
54 top wrestlers from Angami, Chakhesang and Zeliang tribes will vie for top honours under senior category on day one.

Khatsu said that the NWA will restrict local channel in and around Kohima to telecast live except the designated agency.
Two LED (20X10) screens will be provided on the South and North side.
Meanwhile, NWA president made a fervent appeal to the public to follow the traffic rules.
He said that vehicles with A Parking Pass will be allowed parking inside- i.e Special Guest, Inaugural Guest, Ministers, MLAs, Secretaries, and HODs.
Parking space in front of Post Office to Congress Bhavan will be reserved for Unit Officials, Wrestlers, Tournament Officials and NWA Officials.
NWAs issues advisory
• Public are adviced not to shake hands as a precautionary measures against COVID-19.
• Foreigners and people from outside the State with travel history from COVID-19 affected countries and states are advice to get medical fitness certificate from the competent authority in case they want to come and witness the tournament.
• Tourists coming without medical fitness certificates will be restricted.
• Locals who have returned recently from COVID-19 affected countries and states are advised to stay indoors.
• Public have been requested to maintain decency and calmness during the tournament.
