Stage set for 64th KVSA meet 2020 today

The stage is all set for 64th Kohima Village Sports Association (KVSA) meet 2020, starting from January 6 at 5:30 PM at Khuochiezie, Kohima Local Ground.

The meet will be hosted by Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) and will continue till January 11.

Kohima Village Council (KVC) chairman Dr. Neiphi Kire will be the chief host of the opening ceremony, KVYO extended its invitation to everyone to join the opening ceremony. It will be marked by drill display, music, traditional act play etc.

The weeklong meet will see around 350 to 400 youth competing for 45 Gold, 45 Silver and 24 Bronze medals in 26 athletics and six games event.

Athletics and football will be conducted at Indira Gandhi Stadium Kohima while Naga wrestling, volleyball and basketball ball will take place at Kohima Local Ground.

Naga wrestling including Cross Country Race has been scheduled for January 11.

For the first time, under 16 open Naga wrestling will be conducted on January 8 at L. Khel Indoor Stadium at 4:00 PM.

Indoor games- Badminton, Table Tennis and Chess will be conducted d at Indoor Stadium, Officers’ Hill, Kohima.
