Nagaland archers secured four medals - one gold, one silver, and two bronze, at the 1st Khelo India Tribal Games 2026 in Chhattisgarh, with the women’s team also finishing as overall first runners-up.
Ruovinuo Theünuo emerged as the top performer for the state, contributing to three of the four medals.
She was part of the gold medal-winning women’s recurve team, alongside Vesevolu Swuro and Kevikieno Rikha, and also clinched a bronze in the women’s recurve individual event.
She further featured in the recurve mixed team with Keneisao Theünuo, which secured another bronze.

Earlier, the women’s compound team comprising Lotsulu Sazo, Vetavolu Rhakho, and Rovine Domeh won the silver medal.
Meanwhile, the Nagaland Archery Association today welcomed the medal winners on their arrival in Nagaland and lauded their performances at the meet.
In the overall medal tally, Karnataka emerged as the overall champion with 23 gold, 8 silver and 7 bronze medals. Odisha finished second with 21 gold, 15 silver and 21 bronze medals, while Jharkhand secured the third position with 16 gold, 8 silver and 11 bronze medals. Host state Chhattisgarh finished ninth with 3 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals.
