Dimapur, November 11 (MExN): The All Zeliangrong Students’ Union (Assam, Manipur & Nagaland) and Zeliangrong Students’ Union Manipur (ZSUM) have denounced “the shot out” between NSCN (Isak-Muivah) and “ZUF” on November 10 near Thanagong Village, in Nungba Sub-division, Tamenglong district of Manipur. The AZSU and the ZSUM appealed to Naga civil organizations “like Naga Hoho, UNC, NSF, NPMHR, ANSAM, Naga Mothers’ Association, Manipur etc.” to intervene in the present prevailing situation ‘which is still going on uninterrupted.’ The organizations have strongly appealed to the NSCN (IM) and “ZUF” cadres to “immediately shun any act of violence and bloodshed between the two outfits for the general interest of the Naga brothers.” The unions have also advised against harassing and torturing “of any form” under any circumstances.
