TASU Sports Meet 2020 begins

Zalie Neikha, Advisor Youth Resource & Sports at the 36th session of the Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) Federal Assembly cum Sports meet 2020.

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 6 (MExN): Er. Zalie Neikha, Advisor Youth Resource & Sports graced the 36th session of the Tobu Area Students’ Union (TASU) Federal Assembly cum Sports meet 2020 as the Special Guest on January 6 at Monyakshu Village.

Emphasizing on quality education in the fast competitive world he said to acquire academic degree is easy these days but only the best of the best get employed as Government officers. He asserted that God has gifted everyone with a unique talent therefore, we as parents must not pressurize our children to go against the wishes of our child while pursuing academic education.   

Asserting that sports too is a platform to create Job Avenue he appealed to the participating students not to give up their schooling for the sake of spots and maintained that sports and education must go hand in hand to get Job Avenue in the field of sports. Lamenting on the poor state of economy in the growing population of our state Zalie Neikha challenge the student’s community to adopt work culture and encourage becoming an entrepreneur. To make his visit a memorable one he assured to construct a good football ground at Tobu region. Neikha also inspected the players and declared the tournament open.

Earlier invocation was done by Pastor MVBC followed by welcome address by the President TASU Mr. A. Sangti Nyeiwang. Miss Shelao Kheang CVSU entertained the gathering with her melodious song. The opening match was played between Monyakshu village students’ union (MVSU) and Pessao village students’ union (PVSU). The MVSU defeated the PVSU with 5 goals to nil.
