Tuensang DC invites applications for two-wheeler taxi permits

Tuensang, September 20 (MExN): The Deputy Commissioner and Chairman, Regional Transport Authority, Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, has invited applications from eligible candidates for allotment of two-wheeler taxi permits under the Transport Department Notification No. TPT/MV/14/2018 dated August 13, 2019.

The initiative aims to promote self-employment opportunities among unemployed indigenous inhabitants of Tuensang district.

According to a DIPR update, applicants must be indigenous inhabitants of Tuensang district, aged between 20 and 40 years as on the last date of submission, and possess a valid driving licence.

Application forms may be obtained from the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, on payment of Rs 100 with effect from September 18.

The last date for submission of duly filled-in applications is October 1. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

Applicants are required to submit an Indigenous Inhabitants Certificate or Permanent Resident Certificate of Tuensang district, a valid driving licence, an unemployment certificate issued by the District Employment Officer and a government-issued identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Voter ID or PAN Card.

The list of shortlisted candidates for the riding/driving test will be displayed on the notice boards of the Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, and the District Transport Office, Tuensang, on October 6.
