Twelve Nagaland hospitals flagged over AB PM-JAY, CMHIS irregularities

Kohima, September 3 (MExN): The Nagaland Health Protection Society (NHPS) has confirmed that 12 hospitals in Nagaland have been flagged in connection with irregularities identified over the years under the policy provisions and guidelines of the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) and Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS).

Of the 12 hospitals, 10 are empanelled government hospitals and two are empanelled private hospitals, the NHPS said in a press release.

It further stated that appropriate action was being taken in accordance with established policies and procedures to safeguard the interests of beneficiaries and ensure that the schemes continue to provide quality and accessible healthcare services to the people of Nagaland.

The Society also reiterated its commitment to transparency, accountability and strict adherence to the prescribed guidelines under AB PM-JAY and CMHIS.

However, the NHPS release did not identify the 12 hospitals or specify the nature and extent of the irregularities detected at each hospital.
It also did not disclose the quantum or nature of the action being taken against the flagged hospitals or any individuals found responsible.
