Kohima, January 21 (MExN): Two athletics coaches from the Nagaland Athletics Association will participate in the World Athletics CECS Level 1 Course being organised by the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) from January 21 to 26 at the SAI Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NSNIS), Patiala.
The participating coaches, Asakho and Inoto, are active athletics coaches who have successfully completed the Pre–Level 1 courses, thereby qualifying to take part in the prestigious certification programme.
The World Athletics CECS Level 1 Course is being conducted by the AFI at various locations across the country with the objective of upgrading coaching competencies and aligning coaching methodologies with World Athletics standards.
Participation in such programmes is expected to significantly contribute to the development of athletics coaching and the overall growth of the sport in Nagaland, the press release stated.
It also stated that it continues to encourage the professional development of its coaches and officials through participation in nationally and internationally recognised courses.
