Jorhat, January 6 (MExN): UCO Bank celebrated its 83rd foundation day on January 6. Established on January 6, 1943 by the Late Ghanshyam Das Birla, UCO Bank has more than 3250 branches and 43 zonal offices across the country with its headquarters in Kolkata.
To mark the occasion, various programmes were organised by Zonal Office, Jorhat. A total of 83 saplings were planted in the campus of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat. Bike rally and Health check-up camp were also organised.
Zonal Head, Narendra Pratap Singh, Registrar of Assam Agricultural University, Tapan Kumar Gohain, Deputy Zonal Head, Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chief Manager, Amit Kumar, Head of Retail Loan Hub, Manoj Gogoi and other staff members of the Bank were present during the occasion.
The Foundation Day was celebrated by cutting a cake in the presence of Zonal Head and Deputy Zonal Head in UCO Bank Jorhat Main Branch in front of its distinguished customers as well as pensioners. Along with this, feedback was taken from customers and pensioners and assurance of better customer service was given.
The new banking premises of two branches of Jorhat Zone (Majbat, District Udalguri, Assam and Bandardeva, District Papumpare, Arunachal Pradesh) were inaugurated by the Zonal Head through online mode.
The Foundation Day was celebrated in all 65 branches of Jorhat Zone, 2 Lead District Manager Offices and 1 RSETI Office.
