VCU and GB Assn flay Ndang’s remark

Dimapur, December 3 (MExN): The meeting of Peren district Village Chairman Union (VCU) and GB Association of Peren district held at Jalukie has termed the comments of state NCP President Neiba Ndang with regard to shifting of Peren HQ offices as “devoid of wisdom and developmental mentality”. The press statement issued by the VCU President Namgong and General Secretary Ramtinglungbo has expressed shock over such policy of a leader who tried to suppress and stagnate development and progress in the district. It categorically termed the move and statement of the NCP President as mere vested interest —just to start his warm-up session in the district political arena. The NCP President without even once attending or knowing facts of the most important District Planning Development Board (DPDB) meeting has made himself a mockery by speaking in the media without knowing the detailed plan and strategy, the note stated. It also cautioned the ZPO not to continue with the practice of objecting to anything good and new in the district. The unity, development and well-being of Zeliangrong is vital and therefore it is always imperative to keep away meaningless and defeated propagandas, the note stated.
The shifting of Peren HQ offices, as proposed by the Zeliangrong Baudi Nagaland— in the interest of general public, was accepted in the DPDB meeting and approved to take place by January 2012 along with allotment of public plots. Further, it was also agreed that in the mean time as administration, development and construction continues, Bus service will be provided to all those employees who are currently not accommodated in the HQ, for which as sub committee headed by Jalukie SDO civil was set up. The VCU in its note has stated that comparatively the present shifting was much better than those times when Peren HQ was established where the road condition was really pathetic and the governmental officers would accommodate themselves in thatched houses.
The Village Chairman Union, while expressing its stand, have termed baseless and unaccounted for; the comments of Neiba Ndang, who in his way of game and for resurrection of his political career in the district , have tried to play fiddly political game which will ultimately lead to stagnating of development and progress in the district.
