Vetazo Veswüh is Chozuba range wrestling champion

Chozuba range wrestling champion Vetaza Veswüh with others.

Vetazo Veswüh of Suthozu Old today emerged as the champion of the 28th wrestling meet of Chozuba Range Wrestling Association (CRWA) held at Chozuba town.

He walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 80,000 sponsored by Dr. Velu-o Shijo, additional director SIRD Nagaland.
Vesapra Medeo of Rünguzu New stood runner-up and received Rs. 60,000 sponsored by Khrüsa Keyho, Deputy Commandant 6th NAP Tizit.

Küneshoyi Zu-o of  Suthozu Old and  Nüzosa Nyekha of Chozuba Village stood  3rd and 4th position  and were awarded with Rs. 40,000 and Rs. 30,000 sponsored by Er. Lhuvoyi Veswuh, SDO (Electrical) Tuensang and Er. Velata Shijo, Junior Engineer, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services Nagaland respectively.

Earlier, MLA Kuzholüzo (Azo) Nienu and Zadulhu Ringa, president Phek District GB Association graced the inaugural function as the special guest and guest of honour respectively.

Earlier, the inaugural function was chaired by CRWA finance secretary Thepuchiyi Keyho while CRWA president Kükhoto Venyo delivered presidential address. CRWA general secretary Sevoyi Swiiro administered oath to the wrestlers.

Meanwhile, the under-16 category event will take place on January 17 from 10:00 AM onwards.

The champion and runner-up will pocket Rs. 15,000 and Rs. 10,000 respectively sponsored by Nesazo Tetseo, secretary NDPP Phek region.

The 3rd and 4th place winners will pocket Rs. 7000 and Rs. 5000 respectively sponsored by Küthozo Swüro, proprietor, Atho HP Gas Agency, Sekruzu.
