The title itself is in a question format that I will try to answer and respond endowed with rationality and objectivity. The answer is: it is undoubtedly proven that Christianity in the last 1500 years has been engaged in the political violence. It was engaged in perpetrating and legitimising wars, conflicts, annexations and host of others because of its enormous political and economic powers and clouts Christianity enjoyed with the empires and colonisers. In addition, Christian nations fought religious wars and thus sanctioned crusades. Christianity endorsed colonisation, expansionism, and empire-building.
Christianity vehemently legitimised and defended slavery, massacres, and genocides. It also justified wars and ruthless killings by invoking the Biblical texts and thus defended and defending those in power and authority. Conquests and annexations have been legitimised by quoting scriptural passages. Have a swipe at the countries that are engaged in manufactures of weapons and armaments, supporting war-mongering allies, largely engaged in wars and conflicts around the world. Unfortunately, all the evidences point to those countries that happens to be Christian.
Further, all evidence as of now point to their gods, particularly Israel, America, and Great Britain and even Germany that are involved in genocides, killing, and intimidating the duly elected heads of states and forcibly occupying their territories. We are aware of the fact that the countries went to war with Iraq with fake-narratives that Saddam Hussain was in possession of weapons of mass-destruction, but the British Inquiry said that he did not possess weapons of mass destruction. These so-called Christian countries are increasingly becoming dangerous and if pushed hard they would not hesitate to use nukes and all-out wars. So, all the evidence clearly proves and points out that Christianity is the most violent religion in the world.
Judeo-Christianity if these two religions (Judaism and Christianity) wedded with far-right leaders especially from Israel and America that is end as we have witnessing the happenings in Gaza. Jewish Zionism and white supremacy are dangerous combination. Both as of now are entwined like an iron-clad so intrinsically webbed and so want to create unease and commotion in the Middle-East. Israel and America bombed the sites which these two countries thought of totally obliterate Iran with B-2 bombers carrying multi-tons bombs, Iran stood. Then killed its president and destroyed infrastructures and educational institutions. As a result, many school going children, women and men got killed. Then with its air-craft carriers kept attacking Iran, but Iran countered the attacks. So, the twin objective of Israel and America have failed.
Both the religions Judaism and Christianity have become tools of control, violence, annexation, domination, and destruction. The core values and the tenor of these religions have been negated and these two individuals are using the Torah and Bible for their continuance in office. The purpose of religion is to cement and bring people together so that they live in peace and harmony. In their case, religion ought to serve their selfish purpose and justify their actions. Both the religions have been relegated to something where the gods of the Scriptures posit violence and killing as “blood-thirsty and war-mongering”.
Historically, Christianity has killed more people than any other. As said Crusades, the inquisition, the European Wars on Religion, and colonial abuses—resulted in significant loss of life and human suffering. Religion. However,if we take the deadliest events and atrocities in human history such as World wars 1 and 11, the Holocaust and massing killings in 20th Century, totalitarians, fascists, and communist regimes should never be grouped under religion, but explicitly ideological or secular not religious accounts for tens of millions to over hundred million deaths, far exceeding the documented or estimated death tolls linked directly to religious warfare of Christian-sanctioned conflicts.
In the Old Testament we come across wars, conflicts, vengeance, extermination, and genocides. How can the god of the Old Testament allow and sanction these atrocious acts. In Genesis chapter 6-9, the nations were judged and destroyed by water primarily refers to the Great Flood for widespread corruption and violence. How could the god of the Old Testament counter violence with violence and go to the extent of destroying nation and people by flood? Further, conflicts and destructions happened to be the regular recurrence in the Old Testament.
People by and large keep asking that the god of the Old Testament is being portrayed as anger-filled, wrath-prone, and destruction-mode. Seem to have abdicated mercy, compassion, love, peace, and forgiveness. Can that god be considered as the one to be venerated, worshipped, and taken as someone with patience and loving? Those leaders both in America, Israel, and other parts of the world picked on select passages from the Bible and thus interpreted to suit their war games and conflict initiatives. They did justify their wars against countries that the world said unjust and immoral.
Even amongst those within the bracket of Judeo-Christians and those who believe in dispensational theologies; support and justify Israel’s war games; and zeroing all these to end times. In such a background, there is a tendency to go after those with power, money, and authority. Christian world and the dominant countries in the world hardly take up mercy, compassion, love, peace, and reconciliation. These nations to take one target kill thousands of innocent children and unarmed civilians. Though they talk about precision strikes invariably innocent people gets killed. In the name of ‘just war’ and the Bible slaughter thousands and lakhs of people. Christianity has lost its prophetic edge and is coming ruthless and diabolical.
I cannot accept any religion that asks its adherents to slaughter people, commit infanticide, homicide, sacrificing human and animals in return of something shall not be and never be accepted. If it continues in the name of tradition, culture, religious practices or host of others should be condemned and rejected. A kind, compassionate, merciful, and loving god shall never ask something meaning sacrifices in return. Still the Judaeo-Christianity continues to harp on these rituals literally and imposes on its faithful adherents. These are the negation of the negation which ought to critically look at whichever religion it may be.
