Winter Cricket Challenge: Juggernauts CC to face Hercules CC in final

Wokha, January 17 (MExN): Reigning champions Juggernauts CC will face off with Hercules CC in the final match of the T-20 Winter Cricket Challenge in Wokha on January 18 at 12:00 noon. 

In the first semi final matched played between Hercules CC Vs EYL, Hercules CC won the toss and opted to bat first. They scored a target of 130 runs in 20 limited overs losing nine wickets.

Daniel (27 runs), Daniel Gogoi (26 runs), Vijay (21 runs), Sushanta (16 runs) and Toshi (11 runs) contributed for Hercules CC. EYL chasing the target fell short of 13 runs to win the match losing nine wickets.

Dipu bagged three wickets for Hercules CC and received the man of the match award while Toshi claimed two wickets for the team.

In the second semifinal of the day played between Juggernauts CC Vs Tritons CC, Juggernauts CC the reigning champions won the toss and decided to bat first. They put up a total of 139 runs in 20 overs losing six wickets.

Chonben Kithan and Nayan Hazirika collected 32 runs each with a contribution from Himanshu Saikia (27 runs), Sunny Prarasar (17 runs) and Renben (10 runs) for Juggernauts CC.

Tritons CC lost the match by 33 runs. Himanshu Saikia of Juggernauts CC with a contribution of 27 runs not out and three wickets was adjudged the man of the match.
