Wokha, October 19 (MExN): Team Metamorphosis in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland will host first WWF-META (Wokha Winter Fiesta-Music Eco-Tourism and Adventure) under the theme ‘explore and discover’ at Lanchuju Eru, Doyang from December 4 to 9.
Thungdemo Kyong, Chief, Team Metamorphosis stated that Team Metamorphosis based in Wokha has been serving the community for the past 19 years. They believe in living together and growing together, in a society in which everyone can live happily and also try their best to be self-reliant. Highlighting the event theme as ‘Explore and Discover’, he foster on harnessing the natural resources that have been widely blessed, stated a press release.
Kyong informed that various activities like Indigenous games during the day and music in the evening to promote the local and upcoming artists, while stalls will be set up for local artisans to showcase their handicraft products.
Thungchibemo Lotha also stated that the festival includes music, art and adventure. He informed that it will be an annual event where the festival aims to create job opportunities, especially for the local youths. Lotha expressed that the festival is to explore the huge potential of tourism in the state of Nagaland in general and the Wokha district in particular, while it aims to attract more visitors from within and outside the state, adding that the festival will also provide much-needed fun, entertainment and thrill to all section of people.
