A Ricksious Cycle: Chairperson of Naharbari Village Council in Dimapur, Tokheli Kikon, left, tries one of the several “cycle rickshaws” (bicycle carts) launched on November 12 by the Women Village Development Board of Naharbari village. The carts were launched envisaging income generation for the villagers. The rickshaws would be used for commuting only within the jurisdiction of Naharbari village, it was informed.
Dimapur, November 12, (MExN): The Women Village Development Board of Naharbari Village, Dimapur formally launched rickshaws for the welfare of villagers and income generation as well, on November 12, 2011, at the residence of its treasurer, Naharbari village.
Zakir Hussain, Secretary, Naharbari Village Council, Dimapur in a press release stated that the rickshaws were formally launched by Tokheli Kikon, chairperson of Naharbari Village Council in the presence of VDB Secretary, Purkumzuk Ao, Women VDB Secretary, Vikatoli Rochill, Council Secretary, Zakir Hussain, GB Yehozhu Sumi, Village Council members and Women VDB members of Naharbari village. It was further stated that the rickshaws would only travel within the jurisdiction of Naharbari village.
