YAN appoints Shyerhunlo Lorin as interim president

Dimapur, September 2 (MExN): A consultative meeting of the senior members of the Youth Association of Nagaland (YAN) was held on September 1 to discuss the revival and strengthening of the association and its future activities. 

Following thorough deliberations and consultations, the House unanimously selected A Shyerhunlo Lorin as the interim president and T Chishi as the secretary of YAN.

The House also authorised Lorin, in his capacity as interim president, to take necessary initiatives and assume responsibility for coordinating the upcoming Silver Jubilee celebration of YAN in consultation with senior members and other concerned members of the association.

It was further agreed that all major decisions and arrangements related to the Silver Jubilee celebration would be undertaken in consultation with the senior members, with due regard to the unity, dignity, traditions and objectives of the association.

The resolution was unanimously adopted and approved by the House, the association said.
