Marking the festive season, Naga rapper ZT Slingshot has released a new Christmas-themed music video titled December, described as a “reflective track centred on the birth of Jesus Christ and the spiritual meaning of Christmas.”
The song portrays December as a period of faith, renewal and togetherness, highlighting the coming together of families and communities during the season, a media release informed. Through its lyrics and melody, the track reflects themes of joy, gratitude and unity associated with Christmas, it said.
The song blends inspirational elements with a contemporary sound, in keeping with the artist’s storytelling-driven style rooted in personal experiences and local sensibilities, while the accompanying music video uses understated visuals and an emotionally grounded narrative to complement the song’s message of hope and reverence, it added.
The release noted that Slingshot is known for his inspirational, culturally influenced hip-hop and said the new song adds a seasonal entry to his growing body of work while retaining his message-driven focus.
The song was recorded, mixed and mastered at Nestvibe Studio, with music produced by Ket Meth. The music video was directed by Macnivil, with cinematography by Toshikokba Walling and styling by Assortments 2.0.
