The Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) headed by Raitu Chawang made a “declaration” that “the joint declaration dated 27-04-2022 stands null and void henceforth.”
According to ZUF headed by Raitu Chawang, on April 27, 2022, “the two factions of the ZUF signed a historic agreement to work together as one unified body, inclining to public cherishment.” The two signatories were Raitu Chawang, representing one faction and Jenchui Kamei, representing the other faction.
“This declaration hereinafter called the anti-circumvent agreement of the declaration of Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) of April 27, 2022 has been unilaterally issued in view of the breach of trust meted out on the other end affecting the solemn instrument of the mutual agreement,” said the Raitu group. The two persons as witnesses signed for the ZCOs viz. Pou Akhang Kamei, president, ZB (AMN) and Pou C. R Zeliang, president, ZB, Nagaland, it added.
The group stated that the “representative meeting” felt the need for settling certain matters affecting internal fallouts subjected to the declaration; it was mutually made an understanding not to announce the same till the fast and firm settlement of this principle. It further said that both the parties then reached the substantive understanding to send 5 members by each group to sit together and work out all the detailed liabilities at the earliest time as and when fixed later.
According to the Raitu group, both the groups agreed to keep this written document until the time such arrangements were settled and no one should leak this information to anyone and anywhere including public, print or electronic media until then. “Unfortunately, the group of Jenchui Kamei unthoughtfully violated the deep understanding and the agreed position and went to press---print and visual media-- immediately enough on April 27, 2022 and the full text of the document had gone viral,” it alleged.
It further alleged that on May 7, 2022 at Khoupum, Gaijinluang village, Khoupum Village Authority Council of Khoupum Valley area were called to a meeting and “fed falsehood.”
“In the light of the above facts and circumvent realities, this entity, being the genuine and original setup as Zeliangrong United Front (ZUF) incorporating Zeliangrong Tiger Force (ZTF ), shall no longer be party to the other faction and declare this anti-circumvent abrogation on this day (09-06-2022) with immediate effect,” the group declared.
