Imphal, February 3 (MExN): The Zeliangrong Youth Front (ZYF) has expressed concern regarding the unprecedented situation in Nagaland with large group of people protesting against the State Government wherein lives of two protestors were lost on January 31 and several others suffered injury due to security forces indiscriminate firing during the protest agitation.
The ZYF made an appeal to all sections of people of Nagaland to maintain calm and maximum restraint in the larger interest of peace and tranquility and try to resolve any issue through peaceful and constructive dialogue without resorting to violent activities by upholding the Nagas character and spirit of deep understanding and patience in dealing any serious issue so that normalcy to return at the earliest in Nagaland State.
ZYF, President, Titus Kamei expressed that whatever initiative taken up by the Nagaland Government is hopefully for the betterment of the people and in the interest of development and progress of society.
The Front expressed expectation and hope that the unexpected and tense situation which have rendered the people to suffer would diminish soon and positive outcome replace the present situation with the Nagaland State Government coordinate the stake holders in all policies to be formulated in the days to come.
The ZYF has also extended condolences and share the grief and sorrow with the members of the bereaved families and pray for the departed souls to rest in peace.
