Nagaland COVID-19: 174 samples test negative; results for 10 awaited

DIMAPUR, APRIL 15 (MExN): No new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the State as of 6:00pm of April 15.

 
Principal Secretary, Home, Abhijit Sinha today informed that so far, a total of 184 samples of suspected cases have been sent for testing from the State including, 7 samples which were sent today. 

 


174 samples have tested negative while results of 10 samples are awaited.

 


He further informed that 18 tonnes of materials for construction of a BSL-3 lab at NHAK, Kohima is expected to arrive on April 16 morning via an Indian Air Force Aircraft depending on weather conditions.

 


The consignment supposed to reach the state could not be delivered on Wednesday due to inclement weather in the region. 

 


Sinha added that the extended lockdown measures are crucial in preventing and containing the spread of Novel Corona Virus.“I am happy to say that all of you have been providing your wonderful cooperation for the lockdown,” he added.

 


He appealed for the collective efforts and cooperation of every section of the society for combating the virus.
