Vanguard FC Old Boys today defeated Gethemgo FC 6-1 in the last match of the Game Week-1 of ongoing Lobenkokba Memorial Morning Champions Cup 2026 at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Thanpenlo and Hethanglo netted two goals each for Vanguard FC.
Mar and Benlo added a goal each. Ayie netted a lone goal for Gethemgo FC
Earlier, the match between Gida FC and Eagle FC on Friday ended 1- 1 draw. Ellem connected a goal for Eagle FC in the 65th minute Pinelo fetched an equalizer goal for Giga FC in the 68th minute.
