One Assam Rifles personnel was killed and four survived with injuries in a suspected IED blast in Chümoukedima, on July 13.
The incident occurred near Shoxuvi, where an Assam Rifles Training Centre is situated. The blast occurred on the road leading to the training centre.
The AR personnel were travelling in a pick-up truck when the blast occurred.
An update from the Defence PRO said that the deceased soldier was fatally wounded. Operations were underway.
