117 touts arrested during January to November period: NFR  

Guwahati, December 21 (MExN): The Railway Protection Force (RPF) of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has detected 105 cases of touting activities during January to November this year and arrested 117 persons involved in illegal selling of railway e-tickets, an official release said. 

The latest arrests were made last week when three persons were apprehended for illegal selling of railway e-tickets during different drives conducted by the RPF, informed the release issued the NFR CPRO.  

The RPF also recovered 35 railway tickets worth more than Rs.27, 000 from December 14-17 and registered cases under section 143 of the Railways Act, it added.
