Mokokchung, March 23 (MExN): The 132kV Tuensang-Longleng Transmission Line passing through several villages in Tuensang and Longleng districts will be test charged at rated voltage with effect from March 24, and will thereafter remain idle charged along with the 132/33 kV Longleng Substation.
According to a circular issued by Er Hekaito Assumi, Executive Engineer, Mokokchung Transmission Division, the transmission line traverses through Helipong, Tuensang, Hakchang, Taghi, Sangchen and Saoshou villages in Tuensang district, and Auching, Sakshi, Yimjong, Yongphang and Pongo villages in Longleng district.
The public have been advised not to touch the transmission line or go near it for safety purposes. The department stated that any individual doing so would be doing so at their own risk, and it would not be held responsible for any untoward incident.
“All the public are therefore requested to extend cooperation in order to allow smooth conduct of the above stated exercise,” it added.
