The state government under the department of youth resources & sports will be giving cash award to meritorious sportspersons in commemoration of National Sports Day and Fit India Movement on August 29 at 11:00 AM at Indira Gandhi Stadium, Kohima.
Youth Resources & Sports advisor Er. Zale Neikha told The Morung Express that 135 sportspersons from 11 disciplines of sports will be conferred with the cash award.
Er. Neikha will address the award ceremony while Olympian Chekrovolu Swuro will exhort the gathering.
The programme will be chaired by Lhouchalie Viya, secretary youth resources & sports while vote of thanks will be proposed by Akumla Chuba, director youth resources & sports.
