Kohima, Oct 20 (DIPR): According to Vigilance officials the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Police Station has registered a case on receiving a complaint about illegal deduction of 50 % A.D.A. arrears amounting to Rs 60.24 Lakhs drawn on two separate occasions under Housing Department.
A team of officers of the Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Police establishment conducted pre-dawn raids at Kohima and Dimapur on October 18. As a consequence of the raids four persons were arrested and taken into custody. Among them, three were Government servants and one private person. Based on their confessions, two more senior Government servants were also subsequently arrested and later on released on PR Bond. Further investigation is in progress. More persons are likely to be arrested.
