A key feature of the event was an on-the-spot screening session for anaemia. A total of 60 individuals were screened, out of which three were found to be suffering from mild to moderate anaemia. Those identified were provided with iron and folic acid tablets, while all participants received personalized counseling on including iron-rich foods in their daily diets.

Delivering a talk, Limasenla Walling, District POSHAN Coordinator, Dimapur highlighted the importance of proper nutrition under the POSHAN Abhiyaan campaign and emphasised community participation in improving health and nutrition outcomes.

Dr Sentila Aier, Medical Officer at the Integrated Ayush Hospital, Dimapur, also addressed the gathering. She spoke about the causes, signs, and symptoms of anaemia and shared effective preventive measures, including the importance of iron-rich diets, regular health check-ups, and iron-folic acid supplementation.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Limasangla, CDPO Dimapur. She also encouraged everyone to spread awareness within their families and communities on the importance of anaemia prevention.
