Delegates and resource persons of the 6th North East TB and Chest Diseases Conference 2025 at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Chümoukedima.
Chümoukedima, December 5 (MExN): The 6th North East TB and Chest Diseases Conference 2025 was held at the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) on November 29 and 30. The event was organized by the TB Association of North East India in collaboration with CIHSR.
According to CIHSR, the Conference brought together stalwarts in the field from across the country and served as “an academic feast for all delegates.” Around 200 delegates attended the two-day programme.
The Health Minister of Sikkim, GT Dhungel, and the Deputy Speaker of the Assam Assembly, Dr Numal Momin, attended the Conference as Special Guests. The Keynote Speaker was Dr Bamin Tada, Secretary of the TB Association of North East India.
Sessions during the Conference focused on challenges in TB elimination, gaps in current efforts, barriers to implementation, and strategies to strengthen responses across the region.
