Kohima, October 30 (MExN): The District Magistrate of Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has withdrawn the prohibitory orders imposed under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023, in the designated security zone comprising Lok Bhavan and its adjoining areas, an update from DIPR said on Friday. The restrictions, which were enacted on October 27 to regulate unauthorised assemblies, processions and gatherings, have been lifted following a comprehensive review of the law and order situation. Security agencies confirmed that public peace, tranquillity and normalcy have been fully restored, rendering the preventive measures unnecessary, it said. According to the official directive issued on October 29, all restrictions on public movement, assemblies and activities within the specified boundaries stand rescinded with immediate effect.
