PFUTSEMI, JANUARY 2 (MExN): The 9th Edition of the Open Volleyball Tournament, hosted by the Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) {EYP} Union Pfutsero Town, was held at GMS, Enhulumi, from December 30-31, 2024. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Kolhitso Khalo, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Kiphire, who graced the occasion as the special guest.
Organized annually by the Called Group of Enhulumi Baptist Church, the tournament reflects their dedication to serving the Lord, the church, and the community, a press release stated.
Initially launched to foster fellowship and address social concerns such as alcohol addiction and disruptive behaviours, the event has grown into a significant platform for unity and engagement, welcoming participation from the netizens of Enhulumi across borders.
21 teams, including 11 men’s teams and 10 women’s teams, showcasing its growing popularity and inclusivity participated at the event.
Enhulumi (Yoseba/Pfutsemi) Youth Society emerged victorious in the Women’s championship, defeating EYP Union Pfutsero in the final. In the Men’s category, Youth Amigos successfully retained their title, defeating Lekhroro in an exciting final match.
