A Century of Faith: Sheyipu Baptist Church dedicates jubilee monolith

Sheyipu Baptist Church commemorated 100 years of Christianity (1926–2026) with a grand Jubilee Monolith Dedication programme held on April 25 under the theme “Tekhoive Keu Küpülü Pepheni” based on Ephesians 4:15–16.

The monolith was dedicated by Rev Kughato K Chophy, Executive Secretary, SBAK Nito Mount. In his message, Rev Kughato K Chophy emphasized spiritual growth and maturity through faith in Jesus Christ. He encouraged the congregation to remain strong during times of temptation, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.

He further urged believers to practice patience, love one another, and live in peace, drawing references from Ephesians 4:16. Highlighting the significance of the Jubilee celebration, he called upon the faithful to strengthen their faith and strive for a fruitful spiritual harvest.

The dedication session was chaired by Dr Hokheto I Zhimo, Pastor, Center Baptist Church. The programme featured a Jubilee choir presentation and a Jubilee triumph performance by Bohovi V. Zhimo, Joint Secretary, Planning Board, and Avito I Zhimo.

The formal session was chaired by Kughavi Zhimo, Pastor, Sumi Baptist Church, Niuland, and began with an opening ceremony and Prayer by Avika K Sumi, Pastor, Sheyipu Baptist Church. A welcome address was delivered by Akukatou Hetovi Zhimomi, while the souvenir editorial note was presented by Lakato K Zhimomi, Convenor, Editorial Board. The souvenir was officially launched by Rev Hekheshe Zhimo, Pastor, Zutovi Village Baptist Church.

Greetings were conveyed by Kuhoi Zhimo, Retd Chief Executive Officer, NKVIB. The offertory prayer was offered by Rev Hukavi Zhimo, Pastor, Kilitomi Baptist Church and former Pastor of Sheyipu Village. Scripture reading was led by Nilovi Z Yeptho, and a special song was presented by Yepüvuüleku. The programme concluded with a benediction prayer by Qhutoi Zhimo. The main celebration is scheduled on April 26 .
