Chümoukedima,, March 18 (MExN): An Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) was conducted at the College of Nursing, Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR) on March 18 by a team from the Department of Higher Education, Nagaland.
The audit team was led by convenor Dr Watijungshi, with members Dr Sanjay Sharma and Dr Visakhonu Hibo.
During the inspection, the team held interactive sessions with the management, faculty, students, alumni and non-teaching staff to assess teaching-learning processes, student support systems and institutional practices, informed a press release from the institute.
Key areas reviewed included curriculum implementation, internal assessment mechanisms, research activities and community engagement initiatives.
The team also carried out physical verification of infrastructure, including classrooms, laboratories, library facilities and recreational resources.

According to the audit observations, the institution’s teaching-learning methodologies, student-centred approach, committed faculty and emphasis on experiential and community-based learning were appreciated, the release said.
The utilisation of facilities and resources for student training was also positively noted by the team while providing recommendations to further strengthen academic quality and institutional practices, it added.
The inspection concluded with a closing meeting where preliminary observations were shared with the faculty and administration.
Meanwhile, the College of Nursing reaffirmed its commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement in nursing education.
