AI based RDPMS installed at Tangla Station

Maligaon, January 18 (MExN): Remote Diagnostic & Predictive Maintenance System (RDPMS) has been installed at Tangla Station under Rangiya Division. The RDPMS is designed for monitoring of signalling gears to predict possible failures.

Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer, NFR in a press release stated that the main objective of RDPMS is to prevent the failure of signalling gears by assisting signalling maintenance team to take appropriate maintenance action in advance. All the real time data from signalling equipment are collected through sensors which will play a vital role in overall reliability of the system. RDPMS will ease monitoring, maintaining and predicting the status and health of different assets that are installed in the station.

The AI based RDPMS will provide predictive and preventive failure alerts to increase the productivity and reduce the maintenance time and cost. This will result in safer and punctual train operations. In future, such AI based maintenance shall be used for all fixed assets in NFR like bridges, etc, it stated.
